Separators, heaters, choke and SDV valves, sand filters, injection units and flowlines, including their PLC control systems, are designed and built in-house by Italfluid’s engineering and manufacturing divisions, certified to ISO 3834 for welding quality and PED Module H for pressure equipment.

A former Montecatini manager and Professor of Petroleum Chemistry at the University of Genoa, Prof. Soavi founded Italfluid in 1975. It has since grown into the most important Italian service company for the upstream oil industry.
Today, IMSP carries that expertise into Tunisia’s oil and gas fields.

Well Testing, Explained
Choke manifold. Controls the well’s flow with fixed or adjustable chokes: 2″ and 3″ units rated from 5,000 to 10,000 psi.
Indirect heater. Warms the stream to offset cooling from pressure drop, prevent hydrates and help break emulsions.
Test separator. Splits oil, gas and water and meters each phase, in vessels of up to 30,000 litres rated to 200 bar.
Tanks & flare. Calibration tanks check the liquid meters while gas is burned safely; confined ground flares handle up to 12,000 Sm³/d.
